Baby and toddler swimming
Lets teach our children to love excercise from the ground up
Baby swimming is a great way to have a good time with your baby and strengthen your emotional bond. Swimming supports the normal development of children, develops muscles and improves tone, calms and relaxes the nervous system. Water boosts the immune system as well as supports metabolism and abdominal functions.
We teach parents various swimming techniques that develop children’s balance, physique and motor skills. Using the children’s innate diving reflex, the baby learns to hold his breath, which ensures water safety and creates preconditions for acquiring early swimming skills.
We combine exercise with swimming. For the smaller ones, we do massage exercises and from one year we do exercises.
Pool temperature 32°

Baby and Toddler Swimming Classes at LaSpa
We invite families to enjoy quality time together in a warm and safe aquatic environment. The swimming classes take place in the LaSpa children’s and leisure pool and are designed for babies and toddlers together with their parents.
Moving in the water supports a child’s natural development by strengthening muscles, improving muscle tone, balance and coordination, and having a calming effect on the nervous system. The warm water, at 32–33°C, supports the immune system, metabolism and overall well-being.
During the classes, parents learn safe and age-appropriate swimming and water-handling techniques that help develop their child’s body awareness and motor skills. A swimming class is about much more than simply being in the water – it provides a safe environment for development and a joyful opportunity to spend time together.
Swimming classes give your child:
- A sense of security and a positive relationship with water
- Development of motor skills, coordination, balance and sensory awareness
- Growing confidence, step by step
- An opportunity to get used to other children and group activities
- Joy, play and closeness
Swimming classes give parents:
- Meaningful and close connection with their child
- The skills and confidence to support their child safely in the water
- An opportunity to meet other families at the same stage of life
- A sense of community and enjoyable social interaction.
